Changing this approach might benefit lots of people. We're all learning together here.

I hope I did not offend you. I was laughing at the fact that you didn't still have the Cobra. I have a rootbeer GMT 1675 too from a few year later but thought it would be great to see yours. I do appreciate your service and comments.

One of my vintage GMT 1675s was virtually destroyed by those at Rolliworks - from the case being improperly refinished to the obliteration of some of the digits in the serial number. Additionally, I have talked with others that have had issues with their case and/or bracelet repairs as well as problems with other work done there.

I was a booster of their shop at one time, but I will not recommend them to anyone again. Further, I'm not going to post any more comments or photos in this gentleman's thread.

Omg. So sorry John.

I was just about to send a watch to Rolliworks. I would like to hear a bit more about this. Luckily it is still here with me.

There's always LAWW as a great alternative for casework, if that's what you seek.

Please do not get the watch polished. Just like vintage cars and vintage art, its worth the most money when kept all original and untouched. It's ok to have had it serviced and changed the crystal. You did the right thing. If you listen to Eric Wind's lecture on vintage watches (on his website), he recommends exactly what you have done. Service and crystal, and keep the original crystal. Do not touch the case.

Is it just me or has this thread gone South? Just my opinion, but I think someone should start the Rolliworks discussion in a new thread.

Beautiful 1675! It's got tons of character which makes it very unique.

John, did they do their best to make things right...or, at least, best they could?
