protecting the watch case
so after a long research on both forum and web, couldnt find a proper solution to protect watch case from scratches and dings
i have seen some posts on ebay offering a silicone like sticker that comes around the bezel and side of the case but nothing solid. its really frustrating me that i cant enjoy the watch because i am too scared to scratch it. esp. after reading that the case thins out after a refinish significantly. any recommendations ? |

Just wear the watch but be conscious of what you're doing. I hear what you're saying but you gotta just enjoy the watch.

Scratches and dings will happen, don't let it ruin your enjoyment of the watch. Just be conscious of your wrist and you can minimize the damage.
Look at it this way - the sooner you earn your first few scratches the sooner you can relax and enjoy your watch. |

Well it does thin out every time you polish it, but there's the key. DON'T.
I'll rather buy a hairline scratch filled watch with razor sharp angles than an over polished "looks like new" -Yeah right!

Look into the ceramic versions.
Also, a SS bezel will cost around $800 to replace. If scratches really bother you that much, ceramic is the only way to go. |

I know it hurts but you really just have to suck it up and live with it, it's character building.

Ceramic diver or 44 ceramic would suit your paranoia better. I know how you feel but after you get a few hairlines, it's much easier to enjoy a royal oak imHO.
