Help - buying new GMT II ceramic

Hello everyone.

I'm new here but have a few questions to get me up to speed. I have had the same GMT on my wrist since new 25 years ago. After seeing pictures of the new GMT II, I am ready to upgrade. I will be buying from an AD and need to get your advice. It seems like the stock is still limited. Most seem to have TT and all gold but not stainless. The first place I called said they should have one in about two weeks from now and it is mine if I would pay them half up front. They were not real specific on what would happen to my deposit if it took longer than 2 weeks even though I asked. They will also want full msrp. Sure I would like to have on right away but I am used to seeing every dealer with lots of the older style GMT's in the counter and some places discount and others won't even talk about anything less than msrp. One local dealer I spoke with said they won't have one for me until December. The AD that will have one for me in 2 weeks at full price said they are an "allocated" watch like the stainless daytona. GMT's were never like that in the past. Do you think they will remain rare for a while? What are my chances of getting a discount? Just have not shopped for a new Rollie since buying my wife one 5 years ago. Back then, local dealers would not discount so I had n AD in Vegas ship me one at a great price and no tax. Should I wait? Will they start discounting?

Thanks
