Royal Naval Divers Association

Dear All,

attached is a photo of my late elder brother "Jimmy" He did national service in the 50's and joined the Navy to become a clearance diver, this all took place 20 odd years before I was born, things didn't work out to well for him as he end up with a perforated ear drum whilst ascending (problems caused by the changes in ambient pressure) he was later discharged, the photo, buttons and blazer badge were his, the Submariner Is mine, I just got to wondering if he ever had one? RIP James.

Great story. Coincidentally, this popped up on Hodinkee yesterday. It's a pretty good read. Cheers. :)

Wearing the Sub must be special for you. Your brother was a very brave man. Not easy to become a Royal Navy Diver

Navy Aviation Boatswains mate

Following on and for some time I've received emails for a retired US Navy Aviation Boatswains mate.... today I received through the post the attached Ratings patch, I was well honored by this gesture and thought it worthy of a share. Just need a shirt to hang it on.
