Is it sacrilege to wear the fiddy with the OEM black rubber that came with my 605 ?

The weather is very hot and i'm sweating all the time especially with the leather straps. I want so much to wear the fiddy but i can't stand the extra added temperature of the leather strap in one hand and i don't want to destroy the straps with the sweat on the other hand.

Nah I'm about to put the OEM rubber strap on one of my Panerai. I love that you can throw it on for the weekend and be able to confidently face anything you might get into... haha.

I like the rubber straps and wear them when the weather is hot. No issues just making sense of the heat and not destroying my leather straps.

Sorry but I don’t like it at all...love the 127 of course...I think rubber straps are more for contemporary models, but that’s just me! I would throw it on a canvas for summer instead of rubber...Just my humble opinion

Part of me agree with your thoughts and that's the reason that i made this thread.
I had never thought the rolled canvas straps, something that i'll really consider now.

i've been wearing my 127 on the OEM rubber strap for most of the summer - i think it looks fine, and it's certainly very comfortable. can just go back to a more traditional strap once the weather gets cooler!.
