Lindros a Leafer
So Eric Lindros, one of my close friend's cousins finally fulfilled a lifelong dream... to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
http://www.cbc.ca/story/sports/natio...ros050811.html For the record, Eric is a Rolex guy. His daily driver is a rolesium YachtMaster, which he wears everywhere (and it's pretty beat-up). I don't know what this will do for the Leafs but you never know after a year of no action. I'm really looking forward to this year's hockey season. |

He has great taste in watches, but I will put the over under at Christmas before he gets his "next" season or life ending concussion.
When he was healthy he was a beast, about unstopable, until he ran into Scott Stevens with his head down, that would stop most automobiles.

Well, I hope he actually gets to play some games!
Home town news for us today is Joe Thornton signing with the Bruins for $20 million over 3 years..........that's insane (i'm not sure there is any "job" that should pay that much, even in sports). So much for the cap bringing down "all" the salaries...... |

Now that I'm in Ottawa, I face the dilemma of whom to root for, my beloved Leafers or my second fave team the Sens. I don't think I can shake my loyalty to the the best 'almost' club in hockey though... But hey, even the Rangers had to wait 50+ years for Lord Stanley's cup. Maybe this year is 'our' year. |
