Does the crystal height look normal?

Just had a 16622 serviced at RSC and they recommended I replace the sapphire crystal. But now I am not sure if the height of the crystal is normal? I don’t remember it sitting this high but I might be wrong.

It looks high, I think it is higher than what I would expect … but, I think it’s normal.

Its normal and doubt if any RSC would return any watch that was not done correctly and passed pressure check after serviced .

Submariner crystal

I just got done putting one into my 91 submariner. Yours is way too high. It should be almost flush w the bezel. The bevel on the crystal edge starts at the top of the bezel.

Yours is a sub, his is a Yacht master!

Pretty sure the windsheild from a 3 series BMW also would be different to that in a 5 series.

Looks like a 3mm gasket was used. A tad high I think for your 5 digit YM perhaps. Can’t remember if they took a standard C2 2.7mm gasket. Regardless, I like the look of a tall crystal, personally. In no way does it negatively affect waterproofness.
