Is this a Raspberry Insert?

It looks like a Raspberry color to me but wanted to hear opinions.

Thank you in advance.

I could be wrong, but "raspberry" generally refers to an all blue GMT insert.

Is this a Raspberry Insert?

Except for the all blue “blueberry”, collectors just call them as they see it, fuchsia, copper, salmon, etc. This one does look to have a raspberry tone to me. Due to the font, I think it’s used on the late 1675 or early 16750.

Not really - we don’t add info that leads to better fakes. Not a reflection on you but relatively new members can learn the differences via some research in TRF tech and reference sections.

To help you see the issues, take a look in the reference sections and review the GMT inserts threads that are rich with images of genuine ones. The other area of study would be the various Submariner insert threads.

The insert is later - circa 1980s. Here is a thread with many 16750 inserts for comparison.

So it is a legit insert, just from a different model 16750 correct?
Still interchangeable with a 1675 bezel?

Yes 100% genuine and it would be correct for a 16750 and will fit a 1675 as well.

I should have been more precise. It was not an original for the 1675 and as you’ll see from Lee’s link it was missing aspects for that vintage.

Even as a later era insert, I do believe it would need better hi-res photos to authenticate without a loupe.

I’m sure AF that is fake. Look at the zero on the number 20. Looks like a different font. Or printed in bold. Not even trying.

x2 - and then not having the good grace to admit it

Whether it's period-correct or not is entirely another matter.
