Icon20 Bought My First ROLEX and its a Keeper

So as you all know, well some of you, I have been on the hunt for a ( First ) Rolex.
I started off with wanting a Day-Date then went to a Batman and then finally a RootBeer.
In-between I bought and Old Oyster Perpetual with Dead Skin and decided to part with it. This doesn't count as my first Rolex by the way.
There had been a watch that I had been looking at for some time and I kept finding every reason not to buy it.
I kept feeling a sense of guilt for some reason.
Well that all changed.
Last week, one morning, out of the clear blue I woke up and right away just bought it.
I have to tell you I am so over the Moon and Happy.

IF YOU DON'T OWN A ROLEX AND ARE THINKING ABOUT OWNING ONE LIKE I WAS, JUST DO IT. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

It is not perfect by any means with a little flaking on the edge of the dial between 3 and 4, but I didn't care as I had been drawn to the watch and had been eyeing it for a long time.
Im proud to share my first purchase with you guys.
It really is beautiful and looks like a work of art.
It really pops in the Sunlight.
The nipples just pop and sparkle.

I have already had some lookers, but no one has commented yet and I don't expect them too.
It is noticed though.

Enjoy.

Congrats, glad you found the right one! Here's my black TT 1675.

I've had it 17 years, longest keeper I've ever had. :)

showing my complete and utter ignorance related to GMTs - is this a 1675 or 16750 (early ones had nipple dials as well).

Beautiful watch!

Thank you everybody. I am so happy and humble to be able to own, wear and share a dream come true. It truly looks so beautiful in the sun. The nipples really pop. When you wear the watch it almost puts you in a better mood. I love it and will be a lifer.

Received my First Compliment on my watch today in the wild. A last minute stop in a 5 Below store for my kid. A young girl who had to be maybe 18 or 19 said " Very nice Rolex Watch". It didn't register for a few seconds, but I said " Thank You". I was kind of shocked giving the girl was so young, but hey.
I also spotted a 16613 Blue Sub at Breakfast yesterday on someone and was going to snag a pic, but I was very comfortable and said nah.

I will tell you , everytime I look down at my watch it humbles me.
It really makes me feel great.
It was one of the best decisions I ever made, which most of my impulse buys turn out to be, because as we all know the more you sit on it the easier it is to find reasons not to buy.
I do not stand alone when I say, "If your on the fence and are stuck on guilt, just by the damn thing and I swear you will not regret it".

Regarding the impulse and the guilt, my exact feelings when I bought my SubC, and yet I have zero regret every time I look at it.

Thank you very much.
The watch adorns my wrist everyday and I plan on keeping it that way of course unless I get another one
The great thing about these watches especially the GMT Vintage is the selection of Inserts.
Such a vast variety.
From fonts to colors.
Truly beautiful.
Some go as far as to match the patina on the dials, which look absolutely stunning.
A very young and hip feel to them.
Again I have never been so sure about being so unsure but to find I was so sure it was a sure thing.
Feel like a Million Bucks
