The UFJ is a very ambitious design. It’d take some serious haute finishing chops to pull it off and I’m not sure if Trilobe is ready yet. Need to see the watch in person to judge.

It’s a really cool watch. And they do pull it off for what it is…. at the price it is IMO. Haute finishing, though: not really. You’d have a much more expensive watch if it was.

Did anyone see/handle the new Grand Lange 1s in person? They are slimmer which is nice, but they cut down the height of the dial furniture (indices and hands). I’ve always thought the height of the indices on the Lange was a nice touch so I’m wondering if the new model is actually an improvement or not.

I didn't think it was that noticeable in person, but I suppose it'll come down to what you appreciate more, the reduced thickness or the details of the dial. I quite like the new dials, but I never thought the older ones were too thick, either. FWIW I thought legibility was improved on the new one with the dial right up underneath the crystal. The texture is absolutely beautiful.

My pleasure. Wrist is 7.25"

Here's a new Automatique on my wrist for reference on size...

Absolute stunner. My wrist is the same size... looks like the Grand Lange 1 is a good fit. Can't wait to try one out. I've always found the Lange 1 to be the slightest bit 'hockey puckish" in its proportions and never really loved it on wrist. Hoping the Grand Lange 1 will be the right option.
