How do you clean your Patek on a leather strap

So how do you clean your pateks on a leather strap? For my bracelet ones I use veraet cleaning spray on the bracelet and the head and use warm water..... but what do you do with your pateks on leather straps, as you can't use water to clean the head without getting water on the leather strap? (And water and leather aren't too friendly with each other)

Also do you clean your leather straps? What do you use?

And how often to clean your watch?

I would imagine a wet towel and a very soft toothbrush would do it, but haven't got any watch on leather yet

I use this.
Strap oil-s.jpg

Especially made for crocodile skin, but I can't make strap shine as before.

Beware of the profanity, but Archieluxury has posted quite a detailed tutorial about recently. And the watch happens to be his PP World Time!

Forget it. You're better off using the dishwasher than listening to Archie for 5 minutes

FYI its actually a rule. Its not a written one, but threads will get closed for discussing it. It took me a long time to figure out what was going on. Plus he is an idiot.

Wow! Never thought I'd see anything like this on the classy Rolex forum. Like I alway say:

However you do be careful as those tiny swirls you see under a loupe are generally from cleaning the watch case. Its so easy to grind the grit against the soft gold surface even with water to loosen it.
