Royal Oak 15500 silver or grey ?
Recently had the opportunity to buy 15500 silver which I jumped at. It’s a beautiful watch and changes a lot in different lighting. It was my top choice with grey being #2.
However seeing grey dial wrist shots recently I began yearning that dial color. Grey can look amazing in certain lighting settings but can also be very monotone in others. The silver also varies a lot. Curious if anyone on this forum struggled with these choices and how grey dial owners feel. Share your shots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Silver IMO. Grey is too hard to read, everything blends

I think my grey dial 15500 is one of the best dials in my collection. I chose it over the blue...

All 4 colours have its own distinct features. For me the choice would be black, silver, blue, grey. I requested for the black one initially but was offered the silver one which I took. Happy with the piece so far as some angles the dial blends in with the bracelet and case to give it an industrial look and feel. But the black would give greater contrast.

Blue is the most popular, the rest are just about the same, they all look gorgeous.
Get the first one that you get offer from the boutique.

I think actually both can feel monotoned or dynamic but in different light ranges.
For silver I felt very dynamic is lower to moderate amount of direct light. But in very bright direct light washed out a bit. Gray, a bit opposite. More dynamic in direct bright light, but more washed out the lower the lighting got. Best thing is, if you can always change the dial to the other one if you really wanted to. |

Was just in the same boat -
Personally I think there’s no bad choice here - I think we can all agree on that. They both can look washed out in certain angles and lighting. I just picked up the Grey dial a few weeks back - all depends on the light but when you get the right light it’s incredible - just like the silver. From a personal standpoint the grey was my first choice - I just didn’t have anything nor could it think of anything better with a grey dial. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

White is the best because it pops in the sun and in the dark. The blue/grey/etc all look black in the dark

I've always preferred blue dials but I must say in this case, both dials are stunning.

I have the grey dial. Originally, I requested the black but called the boutique to change the request and I am really happy I did. The grey is really dynamic and unique for any collection.

The reality now is that irrespective of what dial you want that you take whatever is offered if/when you get the call…….

I've gone down for either the black or silver but realistically if they might call me with a grey I'll take it and say "thank you". |

Also grey for me. You have to see it in person.
I found the silver a bit too flashy |

Whites okay for the panda chrono but much prefer Grey, incredibly dynamic dial and probably the best among the 4 if you can peel yourself back from the blue hype

White much better in real life legibility. Also looks way better in sunlight.

Royal Oak 15500 silver or grey ?
I would vote for the silver as well as it really pops and can be easily dressed up or down.
I like the grey but find it a bit dull with the lack of contrast in real life. Better on pictures but a bit disappointing in person. That said, you can’t really go wrong with any colors… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In this order: blue, black, grey, Silver.
15500 has already a huge dial, darker colours are a bit smothening that. |
