Guys, I noticed something else on this watch. In the back some says "Adjusted to heat.....and Six 6 positions" but some says Five 5 positions. Why is there a difference? My has the PP seal and says 6 positions, what is stamped on yours?

From doing all my research I believe that the Swiss made are the newer 5167 . The newer ones also have the pp on the movement not the pp stamp. I believe the newer ones (Swiss made) are the only ones where the bracelet is interchangeable because when I called hsnyc yesterday they asked for the case number to make sure the bracelets fit because the older ones the bracelet did not fit. I could be all wrong but I have been reading every thread I could find on the 5167. Can you guys that do not have the Swiss made on your dial see if you have the Geneva seal or the pp stamp on the movement?

P.S. I'm the first owner. The watch came from an authorized PP dealer.
That looks soooo good! The brown and gold is like peanut butter and chocolate... it just works.

Pardon for being off topic, but the pic threw me off balance.

Bringing this thread back from the dead (I realize it's over a year old). I've been on chrono24 and trf when looking for my 5167R and noticed that on a lot of 5167a's there was indeed NO "swiss made" written on the dial. In addition, I was hunting really hard for a 5165 (still looking btw, but not as seriously with the '67 coming) and noticed that there were zero 5165's with the "swiss made" on the dial...

Does anyone know if the dial on the '65 is the same as the '67. Perhaps the 5167A's that do not have "swiss made" written on them are using new old stock dials from the 5165 after they discontinued it? I mean..it's possible? I prefer not having "swiss made" I think it's even more simple of a dial...but alas I have never seen one in the metal without it so who knows...haha

Hmm the 5165 is 2mm smaller correct? Is that case only? I would think it has a smaller dial all together and we will never know why they decided to alter the dial.

My recent aquanaut has the Swiss made of course. I'm not one to care either way. This is a beautiful watch!

Mine has it purchased this year, sounds like it is a timing thing. Certainly small writing either way

Most likely...

I wonder in 50 years what will be more desirable at auction (if any)

Mine says nothing, must be a fake, also. I thought the Swiss Watch Federation required the "Swiss" or "Swiss Made" on the dial. I guess not.

It's Patek, they do what they want

Not sure, Voutilainen writes hand made, nothing about swiss...
