Datejust 36mm blue dial question

I am planning to maybe add a 36mm DJ, white gold bezel, jubilee to my collection and this time with a blue dial. I have seen pictures of this watch with different types of blue dials - some seem to have a sunburst efect dial and some seem to be plain blue, without the sunburst efect.

Is this the case, or are all the blue dials the same? Thanks in advance for help! :)

Rolex's web site shows blue with sunburst brushing and either luminous indices or white gold Roman numerals.

There's only one type of blue dial for the DJ36, at least for the modern reference, and it's the sunburst.

What a beautiful DJ! The contrast between the sunburst blue dial and the red DW looks incredible! Would love to see somebody with a Blue yachtmaster add the red DW after seeing this!

Here's one example, but it is indeed an older model with different bezel...

Thanks for the image! My 16030 has the engine turned bezel and what I like about it is that being narrower than today's fluted bezel the face of the watch looks bigger, offsetting the 36mm size of the entire watch (the narrower lugs really help too). Sticks keep things from being too visually cluttered on the dial at 36mm.

My near vision is getting rather poor and I often have trouble reading the time with silver hands against a silver dial. Blue would have been a good choice forty years ago.

Beautiful watch, with jubilee icing.
