SS DJ41: Which Dial for me?

I'm not making a move in the very near future, but probably before the end of the year, so there's no rush, if that makes any difference.

This poll will be mostly limited to my candidates.

I had things narrowed down to Rhodium and Blue, but Basel World threw me for a loop with this new Rhodium w/Green Roman Numeral dial... Damn!

and YES, I'm definitely going with the Jubilee Bracelet and Fluted bezel.

Thanks!

I’ve always liked the TT with green Romans, but I think the SS-fluted with green Romans is an absolutely killer combo. Can’t wait to see what you pick up!

Thanks Isaac! I'm definitely infatuated with it right now, but It's hard to tell if I have Basel Fever.

I love the Rhodium with green romans. The romans, fluting, & jubilee just seems to fit so right together. I'm definitely biased because I have that same combination (with white dial & SS romans). LOL I loved this dial when it originally came out for the DJII & pleased it is now avail for the DJ41. My 2nd option is blue.

Had there been a Rhodium w/Green Roman Numerals available when I purchased one over the summer, I would have gotten it, hands down! I purchased a black dial one. In fact I called RSC Dallas and asked if I could swap it out (for a price) and they told me No. No swaps for a dial that is this new. They said maybe in a few years when it needed service. Too bad

Thanks Judy, just to be clear, these are your preferences for a woman, for a man or that's not even a factor really, just stating what you like?

For a man, what do you think would look best? I always kind of found Romans to be slightly feminine, but for some reason I'm really drawn to the green romans, especially against the gray dial and steel case/bracelet.

I voted blue dial. I own a DJ2,blue indexes, fluted dial, oyster bracelet. Two others to look at:

1. Slate dial, green Romans, fluted dial, jubilee bracelet in two tone (yellow gold),
2. Chocolate dial, fluted crown, two tone in Everose (rose) gold.

Some do not like two tone. The OP has great taste, so I look forward to his choice.

For some reason I didn't love the Rhodium in person, the blue on the other hand is awesome!

I put other and am thinking white with sticks. Fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is a must IMO. Rhodium dial with sticks is nice too.

I personally can't stand the green numerals. Makes me think of cheesy horror films. I know, I'm weird.

I have the blue. It is a fantastic piece. My 1st question to you is have you seen either of these in person? If not, I highly recommend you do that first. The blue, while not the sunburst will change to almost black in certain lighting and certain angles to the light. I don't know this for sure but I think the stick dial rhodium does the same, for sure a bit more on the dark grey side of things. Having said that I still stick with the blue. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks! I've seen both blue and rhodium in person several times. It's almost a coin flip. Maybe leaning slightly more towards blue, simply because I own several watches, which IMO gives me the opportunity to get watches that are a little more "fun". While I do believe the rhodium is probably a better fit for a one and only, or simply more "every day" type of watch.

I like the idea of the green Romans, but couldn’t live with the lack of symmetry.

I have the blue stick dial and I absolutely love it. Rolex does a great job with the blue sunburst dial - it is hard not to do a double take every time you look down at your watch.

The new slate dial with green Roman looks great, but still need to see one in person.

The blue is a safe 2nd choice

Years ago I had SS/DJ white w/roman #'s as well. Stunning new option w/slate & green. I can see you rockin' it Chadri w/no problem...not a gender issue.

Of those options, it’d be blue dial for me. Followed by rhodium with sticks.

Personally, not a big fan of Romans on the DJs.

The green Roman is unbelievable. I contacted my ad for one with the oyster bracelet as soon as I saw it.
