I use my (imaginary) Daytona to feel like Paul Newman while I’m driving my Nardo grey Audi RS6

I used mine to trade for something I could enjoy wearing and get more use from, a TT SkyD.

I don’t have a Daytona but do have a Speedmaster chrono. And find it much easier to time my steaks with my SubC than the Speedy. Much easier to read with a quick glance.

Never used it to time anything:(
Actually growing less fond of the dial vs the classic/traditional/cleaner dials

You ain’t kidding. Lol. Although I think it’s an age thing.

We use them to feel good about ourselves when reading TRF. What else would we use them for?

I use it to time multiple things, none of which are necessary. Such as:
Food (eggs, steaks)
Lunch breaks
Road trips

All of the above have other timers eg oven, phone, car computer etc.
But it is a lot easier to just press a button and have it on my wrist than to mess about with the others.

I use it for the pleasure of looking at its beautiful dial and to absorb all the dents, scratches and dings that would have harmed my exposed wrist.

I have been known to time radio copy with the Daytona--to make sure to hit :60.

I do about 3-4 track events per year. The Daytona is always my go to for that. Feels like it has been a good luck charm for me over the past 5 years which is when I started doing these events and bought the watch.

Only one time did I go all 4 wheels off track and that was about a month ago when it started raining hard. Back end swung around a little and coasted onto the grass. No damage and I safely got back onto the concrete. So basically my Daytona is my track watch!...oh and I also use it to tell time.
