Incoming - GMT 16710 & Timex
A stressful day that started with UPS unable to locate my package after saying it was delivered. I hope none of you ever have to go through what I dealt with this morning..
Now that the dust has settled, here are some pics of my new to me GMT 16710. This one came from Rolex with the original black insert. A quick stop to the NYC RSC and I was fortunate to walk out with a coke and the original insert nicely packaged for me to keep. The 16710 has been on my radar for a while and it exceeded my expectations in person. I love how subtle the red is in darker lighting but has plenty of character in the sun. Also picked up a Timex x Todd Snyder Mid-Century over the weekend for fun - what a watch for the money! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nice. Congrats! 16710 is my all-time favorite. Mine is with the Pepsi insert. Looking to add a Coke insert soon. Gotta love the versatility of the 16710 compared to the newer 6-digit.

I'll confess I opened this thread primarily to see the Timex. Boss watch!

Congrats! I was planning to go to RSCNY to swap out my black bezel for a Pepsi on my 16710 as well.

Haha! I also opened this thread to see which Timex you bought. I just received my new Timex Marlin from Todd Snyder, the 34 mm version with silver dial and mesh bracelet. I tried to buy the Marlin a year ago but it was always out of stock, which sounds familiar. I'd post a photo of my Marlin but I'm not currently using any web hosting site.

Nice piece of kit. I had UPS/Rolex problems recently. They got the watch half way around the world, to within one suburb of my delivery address and spontaneously sent it to another capital city. Hours wasted on the phone. Couriers worry me.

The Coke has really caught my eye. I know I can get either the black or Pepsi and get the coke insert, but I wanted a no lugholes/latest model I can find. Maybe even the unicorn 3186 version. So I'm looking for a D, Z or M?

Congrats! 16710 is my personal favorite and would be the last one to go.
I’ve had issues with deliveries but UPS is the one which always comes through, even if they misplace it. USPO is a complete no-no. They have lost many packages for me. Never again. It’s UPS for me. Enjoy the new additions!
