Don't force it all the way in. Just stop when it feels tight. That's what she said...

All of my Rolex spin with medium resistance and then come to a distinct stop. Just don't go any further. No bonus points for sheared tubes.

Somehow may be over-tighten it because the force and torque applied is not linear.

It would strip and continue to spin. The force and torque are exactly linear actually.

Ah, see I usually strip it then back it off a half turn then run and tell someone how I found it that way

Do most AD's do authentication for yall? I called the nearest one to me (ABQ) and they rudely told me they "don't authenticate watches, and if I had bought from them I wouldn't need authentication" lol.
Any advice is appreciated. |

A big difference between an AD (Private Franchise Dealer) an RSC (Most likely CW21 trained staff on hand) and a corporate Boutique (Owned by the manufacturer)
Private ADs have their own rules for the most part and are usually just a local jewelry store with a jeweler on hand but not a watchmaker trained in everything Rolex. They can usually only do the basics like bracelet sizing and regulation and will usually ship your watch off to an RSC for a full service if you drop it off there. To have an AD refuse an authentication isnt out of the ordinary since the on-site jeweler may not be versed in spotting all of the signs of these new mega fakes.
