Gronefeld 8 Second Remontoire Accuracy

Hi everyone,

Looking to validate my findings here. I've always noticed that my Gronefeld Remontoire is not as accurate as my other watches (16710 and 3861 Speedy). I recently tried to measure the accuracy using accuracy meter app available for Android phone.

The result is quite harrowing, +19 seconds per day, which is quite disappointing for a watch claiming to have super precision (their word, not mine).

I understand that this watch is not COSC certified so I am taking the claim above with a grain of salt. However given that the watch is only a couple of years old, +19 seconds seems a tad excessive.

What this watch lacks in accuracy, it certainly more than makes up for it in the looks department though. That see through case back? Yowzaaa!

Wondering if other members here who own the same piece have the same problem as mine. Cheers.

the dial side, pretty dusted salmon dial, blued hands

moving to the side, we see the sexy 5205-esque lugs (although not quite the same as 5205 is completely hollow, which I think is sexier)

party at the back, yowza indeed

Check for magnetism, and be sure to include the spring bars.

May need to go back to the factory for a check-up, if not magnetized. It is out of spec.

If you have an iphone you can check for magnetism with a free app. No need to go to AD for this.
