Auction result - Type A 6152 - doubled estimate
“Type A” ref. 6152 (with Rolex movement) that originally belonged to Rear Admiral Amedeo Vesco of the Italian Navy sold at auction on January 23, 2019.
Estimated at €80,000€ - €120,000. Final price: €226,000. I guess Panerai values aren’t totally dead in the water? ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nope, the death of Panerai has been greatly blown out of proportion. It's only dead to flippers ......LOL.

I think this sold at a great price for lots of reasons. It has great provenance, it has a Rolex movement, and it has the Radiomir 1940 case (though I understand that the cases weren't even made in the 1940s). This is pretty rare no?
Can any experts shed light on when this reference was probably issued? I am assuming post WWII. |
