IWC 42mm Perpetual

Tried it on at my AD today, what a stunner!

So clean and a much more wearable size than the 44, has got me thinking

Nice watch and still with the original Kurt Klaus perpetual calendar mechanism. So lots of great IWC DNA. On tis particular version the fact the the month / moon phase sub dial a 6 o'clock is smaller than the 3 and 9 o'clock sub dials bothers my sense of visual balance a bit, but that might just be me.

Wow, just realized that this reference has a central second hand; that’s totally knew for the Portuguese? I don’t count it’s classic chrono because that hand isn’t for the time but chrono.

IMO, I am so conditioned to see so much info going on in the sub dials on other iwc PCs, these look a little bland....

But maybe people like the “de-clutter” of the dial and of course you gain in the smaller size.

I am looking for annual/perpetual calendar as well as I don’t have one in the collection yet.

Been lurking on the forum for a while but wanted to weigh in on this particular model. I bought the steel version back in August and absolutely love it. Gets a ton of wrist time. IWC really nailed this one!

Actually, when measuring the sub dials seem to be exactly the same size. The one at 6 o'clock only appears smaller as the eye focuses on the small moon phase and because it lacks the solid black outer ring .

Nice watch for sure!

Beautiful piece.
OP, did you end up getting it? I also have the blnr and am considering getting this one as a more dressier option.

I am looking at this model also, all three sub-dials are the same size diameter.

Can we expect some discount for this model?

That's a great looking watch and a good value, particularly in steel, although the gold version takes it up a notch. I wish it was 40mm but the 42mm is definitely more wearable than the 44mm.
