For me Rolex has always been that aspirational watch, I never believed that I would ever own one they were always out of reach, a watch to look at in the shop window, a watch to be admired, but from afar.
Then in 2019 I had an opportunity to get my first Rolex, I went for something that was classical yet with a modern look, the DJ41. When I collected my DateJust it was a special moment, just having that watch in my hand meant so much, I really enjoy wearing my Omega watches but putting that DJ on my wrist for the first time was such a great feeling. I now have added a second Rolex, the new Submariner joined the DJ this autumn and my wife has her own TT DJ. I am hooked on Rolex, I want to add another at some point but what I am unsure.

For me, a Rolex was an aspirational piece and represented a large achievement in my life.
I initially started with the 116613LB just because I liked how it looked. Well, that sparked my passion for Rolex steel sports models. I have since gotten out of TT and consolidated my collection to either steel or PM I am a firm believer that every man has to experience a submariner in their lifetime. It’s a truly special watch |

I grew up admiring my uncle's Sub 16610 to which he still wears daily. When it was time for me to get my own, I decided that I wanted the same watch but "different".
I ended up getting the Sea Dweller 16600. It remains as one of my favourites of all time.

I would have to say the T/T Sub with the Blue Dial & Bezel. I wasn’t really looking to buy a Rolex, I was just looking online for any Y/ G Watch when I came across the Sub & thought it was beautiful, & I knew I had to get this watch. But I have ended up with this T/T Daytona 116503 (New Model) with the White MOP 8 Diamonds Dial which I picked up in 2018

Same for me
Originally had a 16220 that I sold to fund the 16570. Completely changed my preferences and now my entire collection is basically 5 digit sport watches. |

Same. That watch symbolized success to me. Growing up, several well-known, wealthy guys in my small town had one. I always said I’d have one when I made it. Hoping to add a 126613LB soon.

My fathers 16800 submariner he got in 1985 when we were living in Singapore.
He wore it every day, he scuba dived all over S.E. Asia and worked in the jungles of Borneo with it. When he would het home he would take it off and let me play with it as a kid. He gave me the watch when I was 22 when I graduated college. Took it to RSC Dallas had it overhauled and purchased a new bracelet and the watch came back new. Since then I have been fortunate to be able to work hard and add a 114060,126710BLRO,16800,Omega MOTM, Tudor GMT. I would like to buy my dad a new sub in the near future. |
