Any Yachtmaster II Two Tone owners? 116681

Just tried on the two tone RG/SS Yachtmaster II at my AD. I'm memorized on how nice it feels and looks on my wrist! I really didn't think I would like it so much!! Are there any owners who can share their experience please? Does this grab a lot of attention or low key vs full PM? What's it like day to day?

I'm looking for something with lots of wrist presence to be completely honest. Out of all the Rolex I've tried on this one has been captivating my thoughts

great pic! The watch looks stunning. If standing out large is what your are looking for this one qualifies. RG is more subtle than YG so if brightness is what you are looking for YG pops more.

An owner here..
Not my most worn, but always enjoy it when it’s on the wrist. It’s certainly a comfortable watch to wear.
Unfortunately I only have the one pic on my picture roll of the device on my mobile device I’m currently using, but when I switch back to the desktop, I’ll see if I can post some more..

Congrats on the amazing wrist watch! What's the experience been like on the wrist?

I love the 116681 and wish I had been able to buy a pre-owned one when the prices here in the UK were quite low (I recall a few years ago they were around 13k). Seems like prices have started to creep up.

Some day I hope I will get one so would be interested to hear what owners have to say about it.

I much prefer the blue hands rather than the new style mercedes hands.

Been looking at one myself. Can anyone compare how the YMII wear compare to SD43?

I would say the Yachtmaster fits similar but thankfully the daytona style case really helps manage the on paper 44mm size!

If you’re looking for compliments, I have the SS version and it gets the most compliments out of all the watches I own. My blue AP ROO hybrid gets almost as many looks but no compliments as most common folk have no idea what AP is. For sure the YM2 I get verbal feedback, with everything always being positive. I love this piece for cooking. The 10 min timer to sear steaks etc or time whatever is useful if all you need is 10 mins of timing at most.

Oh also I think I have a 6.5” or so wrist and it wears just fine. I might get some heat for this but it’s more comfortable over a SS GMT on oyster (Batman)

I just want to say that I think this specific two tone Yachtmaster 2 and the two tone submariner with blue dial, to me are the most beautiful offerings by Rolex, and they also have the most “pop.”

Two tone submariner and two tone Yachtmaster 2 both are louder than the full gold versions in my opinion.

Something about two tone just makes it pop more.

Lovely watch and I hope you get it!

No way! That's a stunning watch you've got there. They're very different even if they're marketed around the same theme.

I never was a fan of the Yacht Master II until i tried on the two tone rose gold. it really shocked me on the wrist. I bought it and it gets a ton of wrist time. I love the weight also.

good point. and yes thank you. i don't know what happened but i feel a bit guilty feeling this way for some reason lol

i think having a champagne dial DD makes it feel a little redundant. i also purchased this before any full PM pieces so maybe that is also a reason.

it's probably due to having 2 champagne dials. can you put the blue dial on that? i'm sure that would make you love it again

This will grab as much attention as any watch without bells and whistles.

I wish the watch fit my wrist but it's a bit large without having a real use for the add complication. It's a great watch which I wish I could wear!!!

I have a proper small wrist but i'm fairly tall at 190lbs... I think wrist size is overrated

I love the YMII complication. That 10 min countdown would be extremely useful for 99% of what I use a Chrono for. I think it’s a way underrated watch with a movement any watch nerd would be ecstatic to own.
