As long as you love the Hulk, you definitely won't need the money for anything else, and you don't care if they decrease in value, why not? I can relate because I have several identical watches too, though none of those are Rolex. I got more than one because I enjoyed hunting for them.

I think that's a nice connection between father and sons. All three have a green Sub.

Its better than one son having a hulk and one getting a DJ 31. Therefore not playing favorites

You can never have too much Submariner :)
I had two Hulks, but sold one so I could pick up two OP36, and same spare change :)

I’ll post some pics. I only have 2 of them with me as I am visiting the in laws and were up here for the Rolex charity event. My sons is in the safe back home in another state.
And I think it’s cool that my sons can have matching watches. My 5 year olds favorite watch is the HULK.

Its sad but if you can afford it then why not I suppose.

There is a special meaning for the color green in my culture. And my oldest sons favorite watch is the HULK. I was lucky to get one at retail and bought the other two on the gray market. So I don’t see it as me hoarding any watches.

If you can afford to buy on the gray market there are thousands available. So I don’t think I’m hoarding anyone’s dream watch. If you want it bad enough than you will find a way to get it.

Possibly. Lol but the short answer is no. I have always been a buyer if the price is right regardless of what the item may be. This has always done me well in the past items I have bought.

Thanks. It was a deal anyone on here would have made. Hands down. There were multiple watches traded amongst friends. Some including a white ceramic Daytona and an SD43. All in all everyone was happy with the deals they made.

With intention of passing them to your sons, it is a great investment. Have a feeling the real hulk will continue to get harder to find, and who knows, while we are speculating, perhaps Rolex will put it back out in a few years in a white gold version, in which case the SS version will become even harder to find.

Since you plan to give to your sons, so as each of you father and sons will only has 1 watch, I guess perhaps not too many

Congrats, the Hulk is beautiful.

Comment redacted.

Edit: I posted before I read the entire thread, specifically the comment on how green is special in your culture. OK then, that's fine, and yes, it's your money and you are free to spend it as you want, and no one here can (or should) fault you for that.

Drinking makes 'so-so' ideas good ideas. It also sometimes makes good ideas great ideas!
Drinking makes dumb ideas plausible but they usually end up as stupid ideas! ("Of course I'm fine to drive: I only had six drinks!")

Stoned / buzzed or not, we've all made impulse buys with varying results. I've never really regretted any of mine, just part of life's learning experiences.

Congratulations, I think, as you say, most of us would have done likewise. Your sons will benefit, you got a deal you sound very happy to have made and the value retention is excellent.

Good story - good ending!
