My First Rolex!!!

It finally happened. I got my first Rolex (ref. 116000).

At first I wanted to write some lengthy post about how I went from my first Casio through all my Seiko's and finally to this watch. However, I decided I'd spare all of you the wall of text and leave you with this:

This is by far the nicest watch I've ever owned. It completely delivers the magic promised by the idea of having a Rolex and exceeds my expectations. I am absolutely in love.

Shout out to DavidSW for helping me secure this beauty.

PS. I've had the watch 4 days now and it's gained 1 second. This is amazing.

Congrats. It’s a beauty

I also bought the exact same watch this summer as my first Rolex. Good choice! I had also reached out to your same seller but he couldn't help me so I bought it from another dealer.

I love this watch! I had always liked the 36mm Explorer but I think this is far better. The blue sunburst dial is prettier, the 3-6-9 are lumed, and it has the nicer, new bracelet and clasp.

There's another member on here with our same watch and he swapped out the hands for Explorer hands. It looks really cool.

Now I'm on a list for the new Submariner 124060 if I ever get the call.

Genuinely up there with some of my favourite references - Rolex completely nailed the 116000. It’s the closet you’ll get to a 36mm Explorer but with all the modern advantages. I believe this has the Submariner movement?

I also love this reference for the lack of the ‘Mercedes’ hour hand. Just a perfect under the radar reference. Did I mention that I love this reference...?!

Recently dealt with DavidSW as well and was very pleased with the overall experience.

Nice alternative to the standard Explorer I--enjoy!

The watch is definitely nice, but that tabletop(?) is for me really another level. Simply awesome. What is it acutally a table? Shotting few more pictures of it would be brilliant

I think I came across that modified 116000 with the explorer hands when I was hunting for mine - very cool. Good luck on your Submariner! Next up for me will probably be a GMT - Master or an Explorer II - I work with people over seas so I could really use an extra hand or two!

Great watch with beautiful dial.
I nearly bought this one. Was down to that or the Explorer 1.
Eventually found an AD that had both and went for the Explorer as it had a nicer bracelet but it was close!
