Just a dirty Toyota>>>

Today I should change the cabin filter in a Toyota because my customer have difficulty getting the windshield free from fog when it rains.

I guess it is not a bad idea to change this.

There is a lot of leafs still inside the fan house.

I have to pull out the fan too to get it cleaned properly.

I'm on a couple of Toyota 4Runner forums and periodically people will post up some pretty bad cabin filters but I think this one may have them all beat.

Oh, my gosh! Even the ‘00 Acura TL I was gifted in ‘10, with its original CAF, did not look as bad as that.

Amazing how much better AC works with a fresh filter.

Looks like 10 years of unchanged cabin filter there.

All that is due to rodents coming into the vehicle via air intakes-fairly common issue on some Toyota models.

Hey Jocke, you know a lot about cars.
I bought my daughter a Maserati recently, and I am beginning to suspect it isn't right.

The font just looks off to me.

Yep, also my thoughts..
That has all been carried in from a gathering mammal looking for a safe and warm space to reside.
The culprit may now reside in your workshop Jocke?!?

I had a similar issue when I stopped using my personal car everyday when I got assigned a take home work car. Not only were they pulling in stuff from outside they started to redistribute some of the insulation through out out the engine compartment. Not as bad as pictured above but it was caught during an oil change. I started driving or at least starting it to let it run more frequently after that and it didn’t happen again.
