Don't know about hotels Sinkster.... Once we decide when it is I guess it'll be best for someone closer/ local / in the know to advise. We are a long way away here!!!!!! 20 hours flying....:(

David I think people were not going for July due to heat + peak season expense.

We should pick a date first, finding a hotel is no problem. The busiest times are the three day weekends when Vegas gets a lot of visitors from California, but there is no peak season.

Agreed !

Obviously the cheaper the travel season (AKA "off season") , the better for me :) :)

I've been to Vegas once back in 2002 and we loved it ! We drove from LA to Vegas through the 3 hour desert trip. That was quite the experience ! We went in April, and we had nothing but rain :( Although it was sunny out ONE day we were there

But ya, anytime is good, we just have to come up with one :)

It's only about a 4 hour or so flight for us (leaving from CT), and I figure if we get a few more New England people to go, perhaps we can somehow arrange for us all to be on the same flight ! That would be SUPER neat ! Watch talk for 4+ hours in the air

Sinko, I actually think the Rolex store in the Wynn is even more impressive. However, the Wynn is in a bad location and has too many garish bright colors...

I've only been to Vegas once & stayed at The Bellagio.....

To be honest it was (& felt) a bit "out of my league" & didn't seem quite as 'Vegas' as Caesars, The Hilton or MGM.

So personally I'd love to stay at Caesars or MGM (or The Hilton) but I'll happily go with the concensus obviously.

I can't search flights that far ahead but if they're about £1,000-ish (as they are in late March) I'm in......

I just found another Search Engine & 5 nights commencing 23rd April (staying at Planet Hollywood) with Virgin flights is £1,062.00!!

I know many guys'll stay somewhere more exclusive/upmarket so once the hotel's confirmed I'll look for deals where you're staying but I don't mind "slumming it" at Planet Hollywood!!

Woo-Hoo!!

This is looking better'n better.......

Dan,Planet Hollywood IS across Paris to the right and a bit to the right of the Bellagio and that's where the liquor store is at!
Try Paris, the prices couldn't be that much different!Don't care much for big hotels, check hotels with the "train" within!

The family will make this a west coast USA trip....(which means a big trip for us). Probably fly into LA... Go to San Francisco , san diego.... Grand canyon etc and into Vegas for a few days of madness! Those dates sound good... I'll have to look at work and do my best to get enough time (around 2-3 weeks) off. Should be doable.... I hope.

We may get deals with flights also.... There's a non stop Singapore- LA service ....so it'll be Perth- singapore-LA.....

WA crew.... We should make the trip over together if possible!!!!!!!! ????

Guys I really hope I can get the time off in April....our main holiday is always in July with university student breaks making that time easier for staff.

We were planning a family USA trip next July as is.....if we can do it in April we will!!!

Would so LOVE to be there for this!

So I will have to be a late confirmation if ok?

Dalip, since this is long in the future, lets chat in London and I'll set up a southwest experience for your family and you that few tourists from anywhere get to see. Southern Utah is the highlight of the western US.

Mind you David - I would have preferred July - But totally understand the reasoning for April. It may be, though, that I can't get time off in April...well enough time to make the trip doable for the family. I'm going to do my utmost...Let's see.....This will be SUCH an amazing event......

You could also as a last resort, call it a business trip and come on your own!
