DSSD Diver's Extension Removal

In several threads now I have read that one ought to remove the Diver's Extension on the DSSD for maximum comfort; and, that this removal, with proper sizing, actually makes this watch particularly comfortable.

Given the pictures of the DSSD case I've seen, I can imagine this as a very comfortable watch, regardless of its mass...but, I haven't seen the Diver's Extension before and after removal nor how this would contribute to the comfort of the watch.

Some creative before and after photos, with wrist shots, would help.

I wonder why anyone would want to buy a divers' watch, especially with the capability (and cost) of the DSSD, and then have the divers' extension removed? Wouldn't it make better sense to get the practical watch you wanted in the first place, for example, a GMT? Does anyone else shake their heads in disbelief?

Not me... I find it perfectly normal to size a bracelet. Be it a link or two or the removal of the diver's extension[/SIZE][/B]

Ken, I removed the diver's extention to get the proper fit.

I found (and apparently others as well) that removing the extention instead of removing links allowed the clasp to center on the wrist. The clasp on the DS is a bigun and removal took care of it for me.

The glidelock clasp is a thing of joy and has more than enough adjustment depending on wrist size.

it didn't make sense for me to get a gmt IIc because I wanted a SDDS. If you put the two (seach a recent tread) they are two differtent watches. Also glide lock covers a significant amount of adjustment for most recreational divers. My DS fit fine with the extension, but there is nothing wrong with fitting your bracelette.
