DSSD Does Not Wear That Big

I picked up my new DSSD today and I knew from my research that it was a big watch and that is what I wanted. And it does look big, but I am finding that it does not feel as if it wears bigger than my Tags. The watch has good balance and sits on my wrist very well and all the different adjustments in the band make it fit very well. I think that people that are scared of it being big should try it on for a while before they count it out.

I can agree on that Johnny....

It is however to big for some (Ie: smaller wrists and or height) , but to each their own!!

From the first time I saw a picture and the specs I knew I would have one (2008?). It feels just right. I even compared it to my Seawolf Avenger and the Deepsea is noticeably smaller. I love wearing mine with the newest Breitling rubber strap.

It's too tall for me. I bought a brand new one January 4, 2011...got rid of it 3 weeks later. I only wore it for 4-5 days straight and it felt humungous for me. Mr. Rob is right, to each their own. It IS an amazing timepiece though!!!!!

It's an engineering marvel!! The first couple times I tried it on, it was quite big but the last time I tried it on, I felt it was pretty comfortable. Very nice piece and you can't miss it!!

+1, wearing the DSSD with dress shirts is tough indeed because of the thickness. But likely not a consideration when designing a monster dive watch.

Been over a year with this monster. Wears well and it is my favourite watch. It's a good size; not huge by any means.

I sort of had the same thought. Over the weekend I was looking at the Planet Oceans and wanted a 42, until I tried on the 45.5. Not as overwhelming as I thought it would be, like my thoughts on how the DSSD must feel.

Personally I think it needs a wider bracelet and drop the inner ring then i would be all over it.

...and a thicker bracelet that is more proportional with the size of the watch. I do love the watch itself however.

It's one bad hunk of metal.

It just didn't feel right to me when I tried it on.

Care to post a pic or two to illustrate exactly what you are referring to?

How do you like the height of it?

I don't know what you are talking about. Although it may be comfortable it is a big ass watch. It does not "wear that big" compared to what? I mean congratulations and im glad you are the proud owner of a awesome piece of Rolex engineering but don't fool anybody, Thats one big watch.

DSSD Cousin....

This watch isnt big either just like the DSSD

The DSSD is incredibly large and wears like a wall clock!

I agree

Seeing how thick the case is, you would never think so but the DS is super comfortable for a watch this size.
Congrats on your Deepsea! Great watch!!

I still think the dssd is unnecessarily big. But still one of the best engineered watch out there. I wouldn't wear one though.
