That is a shame that a manufacturer associate didn't know what basic parts are appropriate on a $12k watch. If you are buying luxury in this category (IE not Citizen/Hamilton) you should be at least assured of one thing, that the business knows its business. Great news for you and great work Team Forum. Just one more time this place shows how invaluable it can be.

Congrats on getting it all fixed up.

Now you can get the divers extension, fit it to the watch and then remove it.

I have a DSSD, purchased brand spanking new from an AD.

After reading this thread, I am a bit confused.

The Glidelock bracelet does not have the "diver's extension" that the older Oyster bracelets had - the flip out kind. I was under the impression that the "Diver's Extension" on the DSSD's Glidelock was the solid piece that slides in and out of the Glidelock that is approximately the length of two regular links.

Perhaps the confusion may be one of nomenclature and what was the extension fold out arrangement on older Oyster bracelets contra to the glidelock bracelets.
