DSSD for Omega PO liquid metal

The more and more I see the LM PO i think its an amazing watch...stunning dial and bezel..

The question is if I were to want to flip my DSSD for a the PO what should I expect back? As in $$..

V serial DSSD..

Thanks everyone in advance...

Carl I know you don't have to say it

The new blue piece or black? Either one, I hated the feel of the titanium... Just not for me, DSSD any day

I'm a DSSD owner and would trade. I'd think the DSSD for PO+$3-3500ish is about right. I could be off but I love the POLM.

Don't do it, I ever handled a PO in an Omega boutique and I'm not quite impressed with the quality at all.

Not the liquid metal version but the new Omega PO Chrono 9300 is impressive:

I had both and I much prefer the PO
The Deepsea is overpriced and the bracelet looks funny compared to the rest of the watch. If you handle them both you will see what I mean

Go PO or just another Rolex

Rolex is basically like money in the bank, Omega not so much...

The PO ceramic is an awesome watch, I would trade some Rolex's for it, but not the DSSD.

But I think you should do what makes you happy. The new PO is made to Rolex standards IMHO.

PO Liquidmetal is one of the best of omega, I always want one !
but I suggest you to keep your DSSD and try to fund to buy PO liquidmetal
both are the great pair

Not a trade I would consider because of the value differential,I would only trade Rolex for Rolex.

The LM prices are a bit stiffer but 3K sounds right.

I've got both the DSSD and PO Chrono 9300. They are both simply breathtaking pieces, both have amazing features and qualities on their own merits. Although both are big dive watches, the PO has amazing things that the DSSD doesn't, and of course vice versa; the DSSD has its own amazing features that the PO doesn't.

Both are unique and offer their own look, style, feel, qualities, features and benefits. And of course both have different price points.

A hard decision indeed if you were to choose between them, but if you are after something classic, go with the DSSD.

... To continue more on my rant (above)...

Might I also mention that the Omega Co-Axial movement is simply amazing. One big part of what I love about my PO 9300 is that you could see it this sexy movement through the sapphire back. I could sit there watching it all day!

In my experience with my Omegas, the Co-Axial movement is super accurate. How does +2 seconds over 30 days sound!!! I KNOW!!!!

My DSSD is currently running +2 second over 3 weeks, so that is also quite astonishing!!!

The PO has a silicon hairspring (and balance wheel) whereas the DSSD has Parachrom; so both boast amazing horological advances, to name one example of just how good both pieces are.

I hope I've helped!

A few years ago I would of said hell no but Omega's new in-house co-axial movement has got a lot of good press and they have done an excellent job on it.

We are all here because we are Rolex fans. However I honestly think we are all also a bit "brand blind". We will buy a Rolex over an Omega without doing much research into the watches themselves. The same applies for many other brands. I know a guy who bought a £15k Patek calatrava because it was a Patek. Having a one watch that was a dress watch with his lifestyle was stupid. He could of had a Rolex sub, datejust and JLC reverso for that price but he wanted to own a Patek.

Look at the watches and take away the Rolex Coronet and Omega symbol then ask yourself which one would I buy now ? I think from what you say it's Omega for you.

They are very different watches. DSSD and PO9300 is more comparable in size department at least.

Not me, I buy the model. There are several Omega models I want at the moment including PO but my next watch is likely to be a SpeedMaster Pro. Also on my want list is a JLC Master Hometime, Dunhill Classic, Brietling TransOcean...
But, I don't flip so resale value is not important to me. For the perpetual flippers, resale is important and Rolex is the best for holding it's value.

Yea, I'm also in the never sold a watch in my life category, if I don't wear them anymore I give them to relatives, seeing my 8 year old nephew wearing a TAG chrono is worth far more than its resale value ;)

I tried one on just yesterday. I hate to say it, but I did not like it at all. It felt flimsy and something did not sit right with me. The sticker was 8,600 and I was told they provide zero discounts whatsoever in the boutique. While trying to sell it to me, the woman stated how hard they were to get, I can't imagine you will get a lot back.

I'd love to hear the end of the story though.

If it had a micro adjustable bracelet and no arrows on the hands - yes. Otherwise it is a no for me.

The dial on the 42mm PO is VERY good and sized well IMO - that's what keeps drawing me back to it.

The PO LM is a stunning piece, but not at the expence of giving up a DSSD imo, unless you're tired of is size, weight, whatever.

I'd wait, save, and add it to the collection asap.
