DSSD D-Blue: dial vs JC
Another thread made me wonder:
How many D-Blue owners or those who like the watch (whether planning to get one or not), find the D-Blue attractive because of the dial (blue color, gradient pattern) or because of the association to the James Cameron dive expedition? Haven't tried posting a poll before, hope I don't screw it up... |

Like it because of dial design and color. First gradient dial from Rolex afaik.
Green letters also unique. JC connection give reason for the book. Bonus for me. |

JC connection hopelessly irrelevant to my purchasing decision. Love my D-Blue.

Dial appeal/looks and relative "rarity factor" for me.

All the above.
I wonder what the perception would be by others if it was Don Walsh and not JC who did the solo dive. It would be like Neil Armstrong going to the moon again and spending longer there but on his own Then again if Don Walsh did it there wouldn't be a great and interesting movie |

Love the watch, bought it because the dial is unique. The book is very cool and the video is neat, yet they were not reasons for me buying the watch.
