My local AD received his first SD43 since they came out with two people on waiting list. He was kind enough to call me and let me try it on. It is a beautiful watch to say the least, but aside from the red letters it is not quite unique and felt pretty much like a 4000 or a submariner.

The Deep Blue is truly unique with its impresseve dial and massive glass, which shines in a special way with the sun on certain angles. I prefer it over the SD 43

I had another member mention that it was too tight. This cracks me up. Frankly, there is no "traditional" way to wear a watch - high, low, loose, tight... To me, wearing a watch half way up your arm looks strange, but, to each their own. I suggest you Google "wrist shot". You'll see many watches low on the wrist. Having said all that, this watch, although heavier and larger than a sub, is super comfortable - even low and tight.
