The beast (DeepSea) is mine!

Much though I love my new ceramic bezel GMT Master II (see thread here), as you will see from the thread here, I was agonising over whether to go for the GMT II or a DeepSea Sea-Dweller.

Despite my love for the GMT Master, my yearning for the DeepSea would not go away...so I had to have it as well! I'm pretty sure this might mean that I am now certifiably mad, but I don't care about that. Given my small wrists, my AD had to have the bracelet adapted by Rolex UK, who removed the fliplock so that it would comfortably sit on my wrist. Once that was done, the watch sat properly on my wrist and I just love it!

Here's a wrist shot, a photo of the full collection and a photo of my two Sea-Dwellers. Now, if only I could find a cheaper hobby...

Thanks, I am. After a few days, it really didn't seem all that big. I still haven't worn it with a suit and tie, though!

Congratulations my friend, it looks huge and great on your wrist and it fits the rest of your collection very well. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the replies. I'm loving having the watch - although I probably have to draw a line under adding to the collection for the time being.

And for the benefit of anyone put off by the size of the DeepSea, once you've worn it, you start to think it looks fantastic and that it doesn't really look all that big!

Congrats!!!

What exactly did they do to the bracelet? Did they put on a different clasp? Can you take a picture?

Thanks to everyone who has replied. It's great to know that there are so many other people out there who share my passion for watches and for Rolex in particular.

I may be wrong (and I stand to be corrected if I am), but I think that the extension link on the DSSD bracelet is officially called the Fliplock extension link by Rolex; the Glidelock is the new clasp on the dive watches; and Oysterlock is an Oyster bracelet with a locking clasp. It is the extension link that I had removed from the bracelet on my DSSD owing to my smaller than average wrists.

Here's a photo...
