I shoot target with my Colt AR-15 MatchPoint with an A4 upper. I like being able to mount whatever scope I desire on that puppy.

....I also like to shoot...

....but, I am not into the clays, but enjoy rifle and handgunning.

....I do my own reloading of my 480Ruger and 500S&W (cause the ammo is otherwise so expensive).

....I own an assortment of small cal and larger Mag cal rifles. I do NOT keep a rifle if I cannot get it to shoot 1/2 MOA @100 yds and 1 1/4 MOA @ 200yds.

....I once traded off a 308 w/Shaw match barrel that would absolutely NOT shoot less than 1 1/2 MOA @ 100 yds, no matter what the bullet weight or charge combo.

...favorites....223 Savage sngl shot bolt action that weighs 13 lbs; 300 Wby Mag on a Win mdl 70; and 338 Rem Mag.

....shooting target w/the 500 S&W and 338 Rem will get your undevided attention if you don't hold on, to say the least.

....next to collecting watches, shooting is my next favorite thing to do!

Stan.

You can never go wrong with getting some shooting instructions at your club by a competent instructor. He or she will be able to give you a cursory review of gun fit. If there are any concerns, seek out a gun-fitter and get your gun fitted to your measurements. Without a proper gun fit, your gun, no matter if it is cheap or expensive will not shoot with you and for you. Funny, during the winter months I put away my Beretta's and pull out my $350 dollar Remington pump for duck hunting. It has a short length of pull that compensates for the added bulk in my hunting coat. As such, it matches the LOP of my Beretta's during warm weather shooting. Have fun with the sport, either hunting or just trap, skeet or sporting clays... it is a hoot.

Happy to see this thing made it to page two. While I respect those in other countries and those with different beliefs, I just don't understand how threads such as this would agitate others.

Fire on fellow Rolex/firearm owners! I'm currently mourning the loss of my Sig 226 and HK USP I just sold to fund a dual-sport Kawasaki I just bought...

Wobble trap is good for a starter because the target is thrown away from the shooter at a relatively close distance. After getting comfortable with Wobble, a next step up would be skeet, this is where you can practice "following through" crossing targets. After skeet, sporting clays would be the third step to combine all what you have learned in wobble and skeet......sporting clays is by far the most fun, because you get to experience at least 12 different stations with a variety of shots (crossing, going away, incoming, high, low, etc.).

USMC: if I had known, I would had offer to buy your USP...full size in .45??

I shoot whatever I can with my camera. Nothing ever gets hurt and it's far more skilful.
