So think I am very close…

… to letting my Luminor 1056 go, and narrowing it down between these two:

— the 995 (with clean dial, Automatic with micro-rotor) and 998 (with GMT function), as I really want a piece with that great dome crystal effect.

Which would you go with based solely on aesthetics, and NOT FUNCTION in this case — any why?

Thanks all for your help!

This what Brian said, and what I said also. I prefer clean look.

No date for me, especially for Panerai.

If you expect to travel a bunch the gmt would serve you well and of course the date is necessary for travel.

Both look great, tough to choose — but regardless, I know having dome crystal is the way to go for me.

Panerai is about distinctive looks and less is better .
The green is a nice touch .Like it .

I would normally say a cleaner dial however if I was to get a GMT it would be this one. As far as GMT’s go it’s about as clear as you will get. So I will say 998. Prefer the brown leather to the rubber though!
