It’s a great package isn’t it. I’ve had this for at least ten years now, it’s almost been traded many times but I’ve never gotten a decent offer on it. Glad I still have it.
Confession: mine is sitting in the safe still unopened, sealed in plastic, from its last service almost a year ago!

I had a 233 for a couple of years, but whilst I loved the dome crystal it just felt too busy. Didn’t lose any money. Went back to basics with my latest one, an early 112 with decorated movement; also a pretty secure purchase.

Is it just me, but the value of PAM in pew-owned market is at least holding lately, if not slightly going up.

I was looking for a 683 (or other submersible) and used just was too close to new for me, which is a good thing I think.

Only way to save 1k or more was chrono 24 from Japan, which is driven just be exchange rates.

I think the issue is with how high priced some models are. For example a carbotech or ceramic case are priced at upper teens to low twenties. That's just a lot of money period. Even if they do drop in the pre-owned market they still command a high price. I think there are some heck of a bargains for some really nice PAM's right now. This is a time to buy. Rolex, this is a time to sell. Hopefully PAM releases some new models. I think we are seeing alot of the same slight tweaks of re-releases. We need more fresh air in the creative side of things.

All selling for much higher than I paid for them.

422,425 holding value .

No complaints .

Sill looking for the elusive 127 ...

Buy a 111 used,not a four digit new .
233/270 also a great buy .

Its all about buying the correct references .Much like Rolex and anything else .

I've been keeping an eye on a couple of reference while i raise the cash to purchase

Most PAMs seem to bottom out fairly quickly after purchase and then remain there
If you're buying Pre Owned, its a safe bet you wont loose much down the line but i doubt you'd make much either

Personally, I would mind if the Panerai Market crashed a bit, as someone that can only afford 1 $10k watch purchase a year, being able to stretch my dollars a little further than normal would be nice
