Panerai Power Reserve PAM1090 vs 0090?

Does anyone know the differences between these two models?

I think the 0090 was the original model and 1090 the replacement. Which one was better?

What years they were produced and what year they were introduced?

As these seem to have been discontinued, I am trying to look for an unworn one, but see some 0090s and some 1090s. Want to focus on which one is better before taking the dive.

Thanks!

The Pam 90 was introduced circa 2001 and has the OP IX movement with around 42 hours power reserve. The Pam 1090 came out about 15 years later with an upgraded 50 hours power reserve movement dropping the quick strap change system and the deployant clasp, case wise both models are identical.

Thanks, the is very useful.

So one is no more valuable than the other?

I see a 1090 on Chrono24, but they claim the production year is 1999, and it has a deployment buckle. Is this a red flag?

If I want to buy one of these discontinued models unworn, where do the experts suggest I look? I have never not bought from an AD and am worried about being scammed.

Thanks!

Try one of the TRF trusted sellers like DavidSW or Takuya. What they don’t have they can find.
