The 5711 is a obviously a very tight homage to the original.
But there are great watches in the mid century Patek pantheon that are just not represented well today, if at all. Bring bag chunkier lugs, subseconds track printing, blue center seconds, no date, brushed instead of polished white gold, greater dome to crystals. 570 and 565 inspired pieces can be in precious metals and still be much more wearable with casual clothing. Imagine if grand seiko sbgw231 were a Patek. I have a sector 5296g which is the one of the most casual non sports watch they have, but if Patek sports watches are going to be limited in order to balance the legacy, make the other offerings more wearable. |

Would be pretty cool to see it in a blue dial. If the 5726 on the bracelet does come back, it must come with the new deployant like the 5740g right? Or maybe they will exclusively hold the clasp for gold/platinum models only which would be sad to see as i know the existing deployant is a bit finicky as not as smooth as the AP Royal Oak. It does give you peace of mind though as the existing clasp gives you the confidence that it won't come undone as its rock solid.

Patek finally realizes they need to match the sub-dial bits with the main dial. i know, what a concept, right LOL!
Seiko does this for their $600 watch. https://shop.hodinkee.com/blogs/jour...ition-alpinist

Yup, and that $600 mechanical timepiece by Seiko sold out fast! Heard they're already on eBay for $1000! Amazing what Seiko is doing nowadays, great company too.

Yes, I visited my AD about three weeks ago and the owner told me that there will be a blue 5726. Of course this is no official confimation but I fully trust him as he has absolutely no reason to make up a story. All his predictions in the past always were true if he shared them with me.

Blue 5726 would make sense, seems like a total possibility to me.

How long before those models in the Baselworld launches will start appearing at the dealership generally?

I think 5524R arrived earlier than that, I can recall a member saying he got his 5524R in July. It all depends on the model, if they come up with a 5231G we may not see it until at least end of the year.

I'd be in for a 5726A in Blue on bracelet.
