Does this DSSD Look Proportionate On My 7” Wrist?

You can wear it, for sure. However, maybe the bracelet should be fitted a little better. And try to make sure you take the links off the correct side so that the case and the clasp fit properly.

Looks fine to me. Just make sure the removed links center your clasp appropriately. I'm use to big watches even with my 7 3/4" wrist this watch is thick but feels great. If you feel like it fits fine then go with it!

Looks great to me. I've played this game in the past with the Deepsea and sold it twice because I got the idea it looked big in my head and every time I looked at it, I thought maybe it's too big...
Once the "too big" seed is planted it's hard to turn back from it. It will even start to "feel" incredibly grotesquely huge now...

My advice is to immediately stop entertaining these thoughts and fantasies based on what people say about the watch on the internet.

If you like the watch and it feels good to you then enjoy it. I'm on my third Deepsea so I know exactly how this feels. This third one will never leave my side again, I love it. It's a big watch, but so are Breitlings, Panerais and many APs, most not as thick, sure, but even larger than the Deepsea. All happy owners. The Deepsea has this stigma because it's side profile from the blocky and basic looking oyster case. For me, this is exactly why I love this beast, it's the most extreme expression of the Rolex dive watch. Thick case, crystal, HEV, the "awesomest" glidelock bracelet, and then the gradient dial reminding you where it loves to play.

The Deepsea has actually grown on me a lot. A lot of that has to do with reading about feedback and checking out the pictures on this forum. Right now I’m shooting for a SD43 but may have to take a closer look at the deepsea

It's a big watch but it looks ok size wise to me. I do think it's too thick overall though and isn't to my personal taste but thickness isn't as obvious outside of the side view shots.

Just my opinion, but it appears to be both too large and too loose on your wrist. I would not be able to wear it comfortably over the distal end of the ulnar as the crown will be trying to burrow into the back of my hand. Wearing it for short time periods? Sure. Wearing it like that for a lifetime? No way.

I owned a couple of Deepseas in the past, I really wanted them to fit and look good. Mainly because I just loved the engineering. Amazing depth rating, such smart technology. But, I couldn’t get over the fact I felt it looked too big. What finally sealed it for me was when I showed my wife the Deepsea on one wrist and my Sub C on the other. She just laughed and said the Deepsea looked ridiculous. And my wrists are thicker than yours, and the fit seemed better.

Unless you’re over 6ft6 and 250lbs, really it will always look disproportionate. Sorry!

The DSSD is the perfect balance of presence without being gaudy. It's a beautiful watch and if worn properly looks fantastic. It seems it's very split between those who love it and those who would never even consider it.

When I first started researching different Rolex models the DSSD JC was by far the most beautiful of any of the watches from a pure visual stand point. I thought it would be too big and I wouldn't pull it off. I remember wishing they would put a dial like that in a Sub case. I never got to see one in person so I went with the Sub.

Recently, I went into my local AD and they had a DSSD JC in stock. It was the perfect chance for me to try it on. It definitely wears different than the Sub but it has supplanted the Sub as my daily. For reference, I have a 7 inch/flat wrist.

My wife does not like gaudy watches and usually tells me if something is too blingy or gaudy. She saw the DSSD in person and said "YOU NEED TO BUY THAT!" She thought just from the technology and way it looked that it would be a $20K+ watch.

I don't think the watch looks cartoonish or too big/gaudy if worn properly. Like others have said, remove the divers extension, wear the watch a little higher on the wrist, and comfortably snug.

I kind of like that it's a watch not everyone can pull off and the fact that it's not as common as my sub or other popular models. I think it's the best looking Rolex there is and the dial on the James Cameron is one of the best there is for any brand.

It’s a big watch, but I don’t think you need to be huge to wear it well. Tiger is 6’1”, 190 or so and I think it looks good on him.

Personally, it looks way to big. My wrist is almost 7.5” and my 42mm Planet Ocean is the max. And even that is a bit bulky.

If you wear your watch above the bone like in your pic then your way of wearing will apply to very few as most don't do that. What's perfect or looks right high on your wrist won't apply to wearing below the bone
