Awesome trio. I love my Saxonia and the design so much that I’ve contemplated adding another from the Saxonia line...different metal, dial color, complication...guess you’d be the wrong person to ask whether you’d think it would be redundant to do so

It’s almost Happy Perpetual Calendar Day!

Wearing the Langematik Perpetual, and looking forward to the changeover tomorrow night.

I have been a Rolex guy for years and acquired a nice collection. But... I cannot take my eyes off the A Lang and Sohne watches. I have no reference point to start with; only what I can read and see on the internet which is never the most reliable. The Grand Lange 1 is what I was initially drawn to but the more I look, the more I like other styles. Can someone give me an opinion about a good ‘starter’ A Lang and Sohne model? Are there any that you would stay away from? What would be a good entry point? And why is it that after looking at all the different styles that suddenly the Rolex seems a lot ‘less’ then it previously did in my eyes?

The Grand Lange 1 is arguably the 'quintessential' Lange. That said, this is personal, it's not the one that I'm drawn to. What's great about Lange is that I think their line up is quite diverse. Yes, definitely all dress watches but some can be dressed down and can be more casual than others. Clarify the term 'starter' though - from a price standpoint? complications standpoint?

Wow! It just blew me away. The watch is even more impressive in person than in all the reviews and pictures I had read/seen. Spectacular.

Bonus pics of the other 1815 chronos and a Dato I tried on at Wempe.

Can’t go wrong with any of those!

Hard to argue with the 1815 as a first Lange purchase (it won’t be the last). Dresses up or down, nice size and thickness, pretty much under the radar except to a WIS, and great details like blued hands and of course the movement finishing.

Fantastic photos!

What size is your wrist? I'm choosing between the dato and the 1815 chrono, but leaning towards the dato. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a dato to try on yet so I don't know how it wears.
