All maxicases will be replaced with nicely proportioned, attractive cases. Partial rebates will be offered to maxicase original owners (must be named on the warranty card).

Looking at possible discontinuance of either of the following: GMT 2 BLNR, Submariner LVC and Sub C ND. In their place are the same model but a slightly slimmer maxi case and a new movement with almost 3-day power reserve. Price-wise, an increase of 10% from the current models.

More of a hope than actual prediction

Explorer I in 36mm case with gloss dial and "Explorer" text on top half of the dial, and a better case desgin than the current 36mm OP which is too blocky.

Explorer II in 39mm case with updated font on the bezel. The GMT hand can be either red or orange (prefer the classic red by a hair), but Rolex should cancel the "phantom" hands on the black dial, and of course a new 70h movement.

Would simply taking a relatively anti-magnetic movement and casing it up inside iron add to its magnetic resistance in any meaningful way?

Asked another way, is there a way to make the Milgauss more antimagnetic than the 32xx-based watches without completely redoing the movement? If not, is there even a point to the watch any more?
That was pretty much my point- Rolex’s ‘antimagnetic’ watch has been entirely eclipsed by what has become Omega’s standard METAS movement. IMO, that’s huge for Omega, bad for Rolex, and especially bad for the Milgauss. A Faraday cage is merely a band-aid fix to a problem essentially solved by a movement effectively impervious to magnetism. Rolex not only has to play catch-up and develop a movement inherently more resistant to magnetism than what Omega has, but go a step further to make it more resistant yet if they want to continue the Milgauss line.

I expect two are reasonable expectations:

Submariners get 3235. (HULK LIVES)
GMT line gets 3285 movement, but no models added/removed. (BATMAN FOREVER)
Datejust41 collection gets new dial options.
SS Datejust36 gets 2018 update.
SS/18K and SS Datejust31 gets 2018.
Sky-Dweller in White Gold returns.

Totally agree with this and I'd say is one of the major drawbacks to the Milgauss, but that Z-blue...

Unscientific, but hodinkee used a 4,000 gauss magnet on an Omega and the Milgauss. Both came away with no variation in time keeping. A good read.

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a-...odymium-magnet

Another way of looking at this is viewing it through the same lens as WR.

Yes, the SD43 is a monster. But really, if you have a "puny" sub or even a OP- are you throwing your hard-earned money away showering, swimming, snorkeling, or doing some amateur scuba? No. The professionals who go deep in the water scuba diving will need a SD43.

Per wikipedia:
10^−9–10^−8 gauss – the magnetic field of the human brain
10^−6–10^−3 gauss – the magnetic field of Galactic molecular clouds
0.25–0.60 gauss – the Earth's magnetic field at its surface
25 gauss – the Earth's magnetic field in its core[6]
50 gauss – a typical refrigerator magnet
100 gauss – an iron magnet
1500 gauss - within a sun spot [7]
10000 to 13000 gauss – remanence of a neodymium-iron-boron (NIB) magnet[8]
16000 to 22000 gauss - saturation of high permeability iron alloys used in transformers[9]
3000–70,000 gauss – a medical magnetic resonance imaging machine
10^12–10^13 gauss – the surface of a neutron star[10]
4×10^13 gauss – the quantum electrodynamic threshold
10^15 gauss – the magnetic field of some newly created magnetars[11]
10^17 gauss – the upper limit to neutron star magnetism[11]

Visited AD yesterday and was interesting told that getting on the list for an SS Sub was a possibility, however when I mentioned a white Explorer 2 he said no chance, that they can't get them at all - his expectation was it was due to upcoming Basel new release. Although he did also say that Rolex don't share any information with them about it.

SS DD will risk having wannabees pairing it with a fake president's bracelet to pass it off as a PM DD.

I don't own the smurf, but I couldn't agree more.
If Rolex released a SS Sub in Blue Dial, that is like sticking it to those that bought the PM model.

Easier to say what won’t come out.
A ceramic bezel Exp 2. The DNA Of that watch is it has always had a brushed metal finish, why would Rolex pair it with a ceramic bezel?
Smaller case on the Sub. I agree with the comments earlier that there is no discernible difference in the Pepsi and Batman GMTs. Also the GMT and Sub have always been in lock step. Same diameter, same profile, bezel insert. If Rolex were going to change the super case I think they would have done it with the Pepsi. Basically slim the lugs down and move up to a 41m case. It’s all academic, we won’t be able to get whatever comes out unless it’s from a Grey with an eye watering premium.

A few models will get the upgraded 70hrs power reserve movement.

36mm DJ, some of the Sub models and BLNR

I went to my AD yesterday and they no longer take orders for the batman. This is a big giveaway for me.

Submariner - no change , although it would be cool to see the no date sub go back to a 2 liner. If anything changes with the sub I expect movement to be the only thing. Not old enough in the lifecycle to redesign and slim the lugs yet.
ExpII - complete redesign to look more like the vintage "steve mcqueen" model. keeping SS bezel.
BLNR - gone, replaced by SS pepsi on jubilee.
Coke GMT in PM white gold on oyster bracelet
Daytona - no change
Hulk - 50/50 here, I think it will continue but won't be surprised to see it go.

Tudor will release new variation(s) of the Black Bay 58 with either of these (perhaps both) colour schemese:

1) Matte Blue Dial with Blue Bezel
2) Matte Burgundy Dial with Burgundy Bezel

The colour matched dials will differentiate them from the larger 41mm Black Bays and be a throwback to earlier Tudor Subs

ok a few trends i'm picking up
1. some people think they have the inside running
2. heavy hint for sub on oyster flex
3. when rolex released the 126710 they confused everybody alot
4. whatever is released will be impossible to buy
5. no one has mentioned a platinum sub which is a drag

i am hoping rolex honour tradition by
1. updating PM sub first over SS sub (or just do the lot which is what i think will happen).
2. creating a Coke in SS on oyster
3. not putting sub on oyster flex (which i think won't look great and people should be forced to wear the bracelet because then they get to realise how brilliant/practical it is)

I suspect they will move the event forward in 2020 to Jan so they do not lose the support of their biggest brands.

As for new models, that is anyones guess.
