dont get me started. Its the only watch i have had trouble getting. Including 5711, 5712, BLRO, 5990 etc.
If you get a discount i would be shocked. I am at 1 year from my AD vs 0 days for a BLRO...offered a SS daytona C twice while i have been waiting. Distribution seems to be weird on this one and not some insane demand. If your AD gets one i imagine you can get it. Mine hasn't gotten one forever.

Last year my local AD put all Daytonas on display, except the ceramic one of course. But all gone maybe in a month time. Now a bit hard to get. I guess with the Daytona craze, everyone just get anything available.

Depends on the market. My AD had one in the back when I asked about it. They received another 2 weeks after I picked mine up.
Discount is possible depending on your relationship. |

Im not too bothered as I'm in no rush. My OF daytona quest just seems comical at this point though Ive missed it by a day or two about 5 times at US AD's when i have checked on my travels.

Seems pretty hard to get. Premiums continue to climb for this particular one on the grey market...

When I picked up my Z-Blue in December, they had one in the display case and the salesperson took it out so I could try it. It was gorgeous. Not sure if it's still there.

They are certainly not the most plentiful.
I have been quoted 1 week here in Saudi Arabia, but then again I'm classed as a VIP customer. I was told that they're only 6 in country with all but one allocated. It's slightly easier to get the facts here as there is only one official AD in Saudi but with 2 shops in each major city; Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam plus the airports. Then again 6 in a country with a population of around 30 million isn't exactly a lot. |

I don’t think they fly out the door same day when an AD does get them in general, they may hang around a week or two so if an AD gets one you will have a good chance of getting it, the issue is that there just aren’t that many of them around. If you had the ability to go to every AD, I’m sure you could find one today. I’d probably just start by going on the Rolex site, going down the list and start making calls!

I waited 15 months, agree with quirky allocated piece. Nominal discounts should be available but it’s true this is the firmest wg on pricing I know of

It is a quirky piece indeed in terms of availability. A certain mall AD in Toronto (that I've bought a piece from before), turned me away first week of January when I asked about one saying "oh no no, very hard to get, our lists are closed", and then the week after I got mine, there was one sitting in their display case! In the big cities most ADs seem to quote 1+ year wait. One plus of buying in Canada is that the MSRP is under $25K USD at current exchange rates! Though that is marred by the 5-15% sales tax on top... |

I inquired about this piece recently, and the AD told me that recently a potential buyer had called all AD's in our province, got quotes over the phone, and beat them all down on price so much that Rolex Canada got wind of it. He was specifically instructed by Rolex not to discount on OF Daytona's for the time being.
Just craziness. All I was expecting was a discount as it's a PM model, haha.

My AD has only managed to get one since its release. I would agree with Adam on pricing.

Interesting, thank you. I really like this pice. Also I think with the gray market price of of the SS Daytonas near 25$ many jump on a bigger one and so for me this is the WG.
And, I like to combo with the cool Oysterflex. Also lat week in Paris, nothing, Miami here, nothing... |

Highly recommend the 519. My AD has only received 2; last was the one I bought last February. They said they get more 5711s relatively speaking. If you can find it, buy it...it’s my favorite Daytona.

I waited a couple of months for mine. I was a VIP customer for them so I was placed at the top of the list. My had AD only received two (including mine) since it was released.

on a side note i have seen several ADs with the WG OF daytona with the diamond dial.. and no one wants them so of course those are the ones shipped. My AD confirms what several others have noted, they have only received one or two since launch.

Goldsmiths in Nottingham had one on display a few weeks ago, had it on my wrist but £22,000 and change was just too much
Loved it though |

i know for a fact my AD gets steel daytonas at at least a 10 to 1 or more margin. they get a few every month so just doing the math, they are pretty rare comparatively but everyone is after the steel so those are still harder to get by a lot

Tried one on last weekend and still vastly prefer the 116500. The subdials just look small for some reason. AD offered 5% off on this, I’m surprise to read it’s actually in demand.

Tried one on today, out of curiosity. It put every other watch I tried on subsequently well in the shade. I was very surprised. It’s stunning. Thinking seriously about it.

Yup, it has that magical quality to it. Tried one on in late 2017 and could never get my mind off of it. Bought it last month and it's become my daily. Since then I've convinced two others to take the plunge too. |

I'd think Vienna and big Euro cities, like in London, there would be WLs and no discount, reflected in greys asking £2/3k premium.
