Vintage? My Black Out Explorer
Hi
There is always some discussion on when an item becomes "vintage". For me this is the best place to show my 14270 Black Out Explorer. Best GF |

The Explorer is, to my mind, the most historically connected model in the product lineup.
And is a faithful descendant from a long line of very similar Explorer designs over many decades.

I wouldn't say vintage but not very common!

The blackout is a rare variant of the 14270. Instead of white printing on the 369 they used black. From the early 90s and they tend to be quite pricey.

Lovely watch, never seen one in the UK in the wild, and yet when we were in France last month I saw 2 in 1 day! One was for sale in Reims (6,750 euro I think, which seemed a little steep to me, but anyway) and one on a guy's wrist in a restaurant that very same night.
Either by coincidence this guy bought this same watch I'd seen earlier that day, or Reims is a hot bed of 1991 black out Explorers! |

Thanks , I love wearing the watch. I think at 36mm it makes a change from wearing a GMT or a Sub and for me it will always be big enough. Funnily enough I saw one a guy's wrist too and that's what got me into looking for one.
Regards GF |

The dial also has the script in silver as opposed to white.
