Explorer 1 with Jubilee Game Changer

Just saw this picture on instagram really a game changer for this reference that doesn’t get enough love. Wish Rolex would offer different bracelet options like back in the 60’s - 70’s. Makes a huge difference.

Looks way better than expected. Seems there are very few references that don't work with the jubilee. We can now confirm that the Explorer is not one of them.

Btw is that the 39 mm?

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an Ex1 set up on a strap/bracelet I didn’t like. This watch is so versatile. Only way I don’t think I’d care for is a dressy gator strap
Or something but I’ve never seen that anyway.

So yeah, looks great IMO. Love jubilee.

Not for me; Jubilee belongs on a fluted-bezel DJ, IMO; Oyster is for pro models. Would prefer it on Pepsi, too.

I believe Rolex does offer bracelet options in classic watches like DJ. I prefer the oyster though...

It's no surprise that the Explorer looks great on a Jubilee bracelet. The Explorer looks great on leather and nylon, for that matter.

It's horrid..that bracelet spoils what was a great watch..
I hope it's a mock up picture and no one has actually done that.

The explorer looks incredible on most. I saw someone that had it with a Rubber B strap also. Was pleasantly surprised.

Each to their own ... there is no right or wrong ... its what I love about the hobby.

I think it looks fine, but would stick with an oyster on that model personally.

Doesn't look too bad at all! I think it would look slightly better on the MK1 dial variant.

I think it looks perfect....depending on what "look" you're going for.

For a dressed up, suit and tie affair the Jubilee is the bracelet of choice. For the rugged or tool watch vibe, the Oyster is the way to go.

As pointed out, there's no right / wrong answer when it comes down to something as subjective as 'what looks better'? What looks better to whom? When? Why? Fun to discuss but ultimately a somewhat pointless exercise.

IMO the classy Rolex Explorer *always* looks good. And as Baretta would say: "You can take that to the bank."

Not my taste at all. If anything I think a leather or NATO strap complements the look of the Explorer I better.

That is a good look...IMO, similar to the smooth bezel/jubilee option offered on the DJ41.

But with the cool EXP face. Super nice.
