Noisy Cartier Santos owners
Hi everyone
Just a quick question that has been on my mind over the last couple of days. I have the Cartier Santos 2017 model just before they released the updated version in 2018. I noticed when I put on the watch the other day that when I shake the watch I can hear the rotor go round in fact every time I shake it and hold it close to my ear otherwise it's quiet which I find strange. I checked out an independent watch store which claim that it's fine however I never got this issue with my Rolex. Can anybody confirm that this is normal with Cartier or do I need to take it in. The watch keeps perfect timing and doesn't lose charge. Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk |

Just to add that it's not a rattle it's more of a sweeping noise when I shake it. So strange

It’s probably fine. Rolex’s 32xx movements are a lot more vocal than what came before.

I think it’s normal, wear and enjoy it.

Movements with ball bearings for the rotor sound like that, no worries.

Thanks guys. I went into the boutique earlier to make sure that there wasn't an issue with the watch as it's still under warranty. It was fine and they even showed me another model from the unit that made the same noise. Relieved now I can enjoy it. Thanks everyone
