BLRO vs CHNR

I’ve had my heart set on waiting for a BLRO. However, during that wait I’ve taken a keen liking to the TT Root Beer. Both have some flash to them but in different ways (BLRO with the jubilee and CHNR with the rose gold). For those who have seen both, which one is less flashy/noticeable?

I would say most of the time the BLRO is more noticeable due to the red color. TT RG is not as flashy as TT Yg.

I think the BLRO would be less flashy/noticeable than the CHNR. Having seen both at the AD and loving the look, preference would be for the BLRO.

Pic to help (not mine):

You're right, they both have some flash to them.

If you were looking at both like the picture above, I would say the BLRO is a little less flashy. However, the first time you moved your arm, that jubilee catches the light and is like a torch. So...I don't know. Hard to say.

BLRO more low key, except to a WIS, who will salivate.

I think they are equivalent in flashy, just different kind . The oyster and the red “screams” IMO whwre as the CHNR “whispers” boldly. I’ve turned down a BLRO as I have a 16710, and the CHNR is on my short list. Admittedly my shortlist is too long

Rare case the SS looks louder than the TT due to the primary colours bezel and RG being more subtle than YG, often looking like SS itself in certain lights.

I have had a few friends of mine say they want the BLRO but when I've shown them the CHNR and BLRO side by side they have preferred the CHNR.

In my opinion the CHNR is not necessarily flashier than the BLRO, just classier.

Only my opinion though and that comes from somebody who owns both.

My vote is CHNR..... better looking. I'm just not a fan of jubilee bracelet and pinkish red.

I actually think the CHNR is more versatile than the BLRO. When seeing them side by side my eyes gravitated towards the CHNR with a very noticeable (and highly welcome) distraction of the BLRO in my immediate peripheral vision.

The CHNR goes great with my Iron Maiden shirt

The BLRO is obviously less flashy.........at the same time, its also much more boring and not nearly as sharp, good looking and classy as the CHNR. I mean, what are you going to wear a red and blue watch with other than a pair of Levis??? Only Two-Tone Rolex that beats a CHNR in the looks department is the Two-Tone Panda Daytona

No offense, however, I think the CHNR is much nicer than the TT Panda. Then again (luckily) I’m not a Daytona fan.

Both are very nice watches ... not necessarily flashy but noticeable. There's a recent on-line video of Ellen and Michelle Obama at Costco doing a book signing ... very entertaining. Ellen wears a BLRO. It's not flashy; however, it's noticeable especially to a Rolex owner.

I'm on the list for a CHNR. I already have SS sports watches for everyday use so I was looking for something that's classy and for dressing up from a tone and color combination perspective.

The gold, cigar and brandy aura about the watch made it an easy decision.

Neither one is flashy. I tried them both on and didn’t feel like either one jumps out and draws attention. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I didn’t like either one enough to buy, as the disadvantages outweighed. I ended up with the full RG CHNR, which only disadvantage is the price.

Do you think the TT CHNR can be worn casually, too?

I tried on both last week in Miami and loved the CHNR more.

Then again I am biased as I want my next piece to be two tone ever rose gold and LOVE the CHNR GMT.

The BLRO for me.....would stand out a lil too much for my taste. I like the classy look of the CHNR two tone. Just my opinion of course.

How good would the two tone CHNR have looked if it had a jubilee

I am going Root Beer. The Pepsi ceramic shades of Red and Blue aren't for me as they change to milky/creamy in certain light. In addition, the clasp on the jubilee is not a good balance for the watch. JMHO

Have seen both in person, put them both on my wrist. CHNR is a lot less flashy than any 2 tone watch I have seen (I have a 16613LB). The colors of CHNR just melt away on the wrist and disappears with most skin colors, same with the brown/black bezel.

The BLRO will stand out a lot more. Polished links of the jubilee and the red/blue bezel will be noticed a lot more than the almost skin colored YG and brown bezel of the CHNR.

I saw them both in person earlier this year. The CHNR is really beautiful, and I think you could get one at MSRP without too much trouble.
I don't think it is as flashy as TT gold generally seems, I have a BLNR, and I found the BLRO flashy under jewelry store lighting.

I originally was aiming for the Pepsi but once I saw the CHNR I'm content with not having the Pepsi.

Everose has a lot more dimension to it and almost glows in low light and changes color in different light. It’s colors in the bezel match the entire watch better than any other ceramic bezel/watch combo. It’s rich looking. Pics don’t capture it very well. IMO... the CHNR is a modern Rolex masterpiece as every aspect of the watch is perfect. The BLRO is bold looking because it’s a bright red and blue watch. I don’t get flashy at all from it. A Bluesy is “flashy”.
