116618LB - YG Blue Dial Sub as a Daily

Would love to hear feedback on the YG Blue Dial Sub from owners. Pros and cons. Any regrets to buying one?

Suitability as a daily wearer? Including in retirement ...

The YG Sub as a daily is what it was built for. Yes a few more noticable scratches on PCLs. It hey people who know what your wearing will notice it from across the room

Plus glidlock, you can always get the right fit

What r you still here....? Lol go grab it before it’s gone

I think that would be a cool, casual but slightly flashy daily. Slightly more youthful than a DD (although I like DDs). A fun, confident choice.

This is all my opinion....obviously, wear what you want, when you want.
I think it really depends on the situation. Age...no factor, work environment, definitely could be a factor. If retired, (I am) daily is fine if you don’t mind the bling factor. It’s a gorgeous watch, I love it! While I don’t daily mine, it certainly is doable.
I chose the flat blue dial, and love this version!

the only question really is smurf dial or sunburst. i own the smurf in wg but i honestly don't know which way i would go and i guess it just doesn't matter. both excellent.

the yg sub is a heck of watch and despite what the OP might think i don't reckon it would be too much for anything. people just don't notice a watch (generally). the glidelock make pm ownership and use comfortable and convenient. an incredible combo.

I tried one on last year and remember thinking that if I owned it I’d wear it every day.

I tried one on today. It was far more comfortable than I was expecting. My wife found a 36mm DD that now she has to have. Lol.

What percent discount should one expect on the YG Sub from an AD?

I don’t know in your part of the world , but here you can expect no discount , as this has to be in the top 3 sought after gold pieces

I got mine lightly used for a good discount

Not saying you will get it but try for 20-25%. I got 25% off, but went with a US trusted seller here on the forum.

I see David SW has one fully stickered for about 20% off.

Thinking I should wait until Basel at this point though.

It's a great watch and works for a daily so long as you're ok with a little flash.

To the individuals that own that piece, is it a flashy watch to the point people are bringing it up? Is it flashy simply because it’s yellow gold?

yg is flashy but not to the exaggerated point that some people believe. its not like driving a lambo where all eyes are on you. a lot of people do not notice/care, the ones that do will most likely not know its a rolex unless they are WIS

Still debating if I should buy the 116618 in sunburst or spend a bit more and get a 116688 YM2 in YG. Very difficult... Some days I think to myself I should buy the WG skydweller on ivory dial.

116618 > ym2, and if i were to get a big watch i'd go with a YG skydweller

Give me more of your thoughts?

The only thing stopping me from buying the YM2 in YG is the fact that it's even more flashy. Might be too much. Love the weight and size.
