Hmmm..... It looks kinda fishy to me..
The thin lugs, the way ROLEX is printed on the dial. the missing SWISS MADE. all make me tend to think that it might be a fake. Not really sure though.
Are you planning to buy it?

It would help if you could post the serial number, and the model number between the lugs. When you look it should have the model number between the 12 o'clock lugs and the serial between the 6 o'clock lugs. But judging
by the style of the hands and dial,it looks like a 50sto the 70s style, but
without the serial and model cannot be 100% certain, just the first 4 numbers
of the serial will do.

Well just checked my ref books, there are two entries for this model but IMO this is the one you got.1957-58 Oyster Perpetual 6532 #1030 movement thinner case than an Oyster,"deep sea", possibly made for Canadian market
with the white dial, raised Rolex letters, raised arrowhead markers with 3-6-9, alpha hands without the deep sea on dial.As for value cannot help you there, hope this helps.

Yes agree with you about the deep sea, think some countries had the same model
but without deep sea on dial,it could be made for the Canada market.

Thanks for all the info guys.....
I guess I'm still trying to find out is this watch is a real rolex. Although all things point io it being real. I'd still like a piece of mind. Is there any real way to find out?

one question that i do have is that my watch does look very much like the deep sea but how come on my watch face it only says oyster perpetual? And at the bottom it does not say "officially certified chronometer".

Thanks so much for your expertise.

ok here are much better scans of the front and lugs.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of "Officially Certified Chronometer" on the dial. Maybe somebody could correct me on this, but AFAIK Rolex didn't make a point of standardising the print on the dials till the 1960's.

For absolute peace of mind, take it down to the RSC for a service. Ultimately, the only absolute way of making sure it's a Rolex is to take the caseback off and check that's it's a Rolex inside and out. Besides, if it is, the service will help you ensure that it stays in top shape.

You're going to need to use a special tool to take the caseback off - the tool catches the teeth you can see on the caseback (they look like the teeth on a gear) and unscrews the back.

As for dealers in your area, maybe the guys from stateside might be able to help.

what kind of model is it?

hello guys,
could you pelase help me identifying the model of this clock?.
I inherated it from a relative and i'm new in this world.

Serial number is only 4 digit only and written in the back of the case.
It seems to be an oyster but i see some differences the case and some inscriptions are different) when comparing the ones available in the internet.
Thanks a lot
