Any watch I can wear without:
- Worrying about scratches, little dents
- Limiting wearing for any activity - including sports, swimming etc.
- Worrying about theft
- Constantly checking the timekeeping
- Having weird (to me) colored bezels or dials
- Checking to see what its worth for resale

So probably a well used Explorer or Sub
